Machine and Plant Operator apprenticeship
As an apprentice in the field of machine and plant operation for textile production equipment, you will set up, commission and operate production machinery and plant. You will not do this alone, of course. You will be introduced to your tasks step by step by experienced colleagues. You will get to know these tasks down to the smallest detail, so that you will be able to react and find solutions whenever new developments or challenges arise. You will prepare operating procedures, check the machines to ensure they function properly, and monitor the production process.

Training content
- Setting up and operating production machinery and plant
- Retooling, reconfiguring and maintaining machines
- Monitoring machine functions and production processes
- Analysing, remedying and documenting technical malfunctions
- Controlling material flows
- Compliance with health and safety and environmental protection regulations
In addition to practical training, we attach great importance to a good vocational education. Our trainees therefore attend vocational colleges in Steinfurt, Rheine and Ibbenbüren. Since 2018, there has also been the option of attending the newly founded Textile Academy in Mönchengladbach. This vocational college, which is specially geared to the textile professions, offers state-of-the-art equipment and high-quality learning through close cooperation with the university. Naturally, we cover the travel costs and accommodation in Mönchengladbach.
